Intent: Rehabilitate existing damaged/contaminated sites.
Requirements: Develop on a site that is documented as “Contaminated” or “Brownfield”
Approach: Select a site that falls into these categories and then use various methods to remediate the site so that it is suitable for building and construction.  You may find that you can get government funds for fixing broken sites.

SSc2: Development Density & Community Connectivity

The Intent of this credit is to develop in areas that have existing infrastructure, and preserve natural habitat.

Sustainable sites is basically selecting the most sustainable site for the construction project.  Some considerations include redevelopment of existing sites, or placing your site so that it is convenient for people using the building to use public transportation or ride bikes or walk.
