EAc6: Green Power
Intent: Save the environment by utilizing renewable or “Green” power.
The Requirements for this credit involve providing at least 35% of the electricity for the building from renewable sources for 2 years.
Approach: Engage in purchasing a renewable energy contract or renewable energy certificates or credits.
Exemplary Performance is available if you increase the percent from 35% to 70% or if you increase the length from 2 years to 4 years.
