SSc5.2: Site Development - Maximize Open Space
Intent: Promote biodiversity by providing a high amount of open space to development footprint.
Requirements: There are 3 options that all involve either reducing the building’s footprint or increasing the amount of vegetated or open space. For those buildings that earn SSc2, pedestrian oriented spaces and vegetated roofs can count towards this point.
This is a Design Submittal, has Calculations for each option and has an Exemplary performance point available for projects that double the requirement for open space.
