SSc4.3: Alternative Transportation: Low-Emission & Fuel-Efficient Vehicles
The Intent of this credit is to reduce the environmental impact caused by automobile use.
Requirements: There are three options that can be used to achieve this credit:
Option 1: Provide low-emitting or fuel efficient vehicles for 3% of FTE occupants and preferred parking.
Option 2: Have preferred parking for low-emitting vehicles for 5% of total parking capacity.
Option 3: Install alternate-fuel refueling stations for 3% of the total parking capacity.
Approach: Incorporate these features into the parking design of the building. There are a few simple Calculations to figure out the number of spaces/vehicles/refueling stations needed to achieve this credit.
